Don't Tell Dad
Don’t Tell Dad brings a refreshingly dual identity to the vibrant Queen’s Park neighbourhood—starting each day as a laid-back, flour-dusted bakery serving up coffee, pastries, and more until “3ish,” before seamlessly transforming into an elegant but approachable dinner venue. The concept, created by Daniel Land in tribute to his sister Lesley, celebrates seasonal British produce with a modern European flair. Menus are concise, produce-led, and grounded in thoughtful sourcing, shifting naturally with availability. A deep connection to local growers and makers anchors the offering, supported by a curated natural wine list and a space that feels both intimate and buzzy—welcoming locals with the warmth of a familiar favourite. The evening restaurant service is a particularly strong draw, with dinner offered Tuesday through Sunday, and weekend lunches offering a more relaxed way to sample the kitchen’s commitment to seasonal flavour. Vegetarian-friendly dishes hold equal footing on the menu, while the wine list leans toward thoughtful, low-intervention bottles that pair beautifully with small plates and shared feasts. From Tuesday to Saturday, guests can enjoy dinner from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, with Sunday service until 8pm. Bakery hours run daily, and Friday to Sunday lunch is available midday to 2pm, sometimes accompanied by special takeaway offerings from 11am.
