The Shed

The Shed, nestled in the heart of Notting Hill, is the flagship restaurant of the 'Local & Wild' group founded by the Gladwin Brothers. With its shabby-chic interior and a farm-to-fork approach, The Shed brings a slice of the Sussex countryside to West London. The set ‘Local & Wild’ menu is a special celebration of hyper-seasonal, wild, foraged ingredients and homegrown produce. If you are looking for a quick stop after your morning stroll in Notting Hill, on weekdays we offer our 3-course Farm-to-Fork lunch set menu which features the freshest offers. We also specialise in award-winning English wines from the Nutbourne Vineyards, following the principle of "what grows together, goes together." Located just a short two-minute walk from Notting Hill Gate station, The Shed has become a beloved gem for locals and visitors from all over the world alike, known for over a decade for its sustainable dishes, signature seasonal cocktails, and pleasant summer evenings in our cosy terrace. The restaurant concentrates on serving only local and sustainable produce that is seasonal and at its ripest, which creates flavourful and nutrient-rich dishes celebrating produce at its best. We source our produce from independent farms that use minimal intervention and a biodynamic approach while always looking to showcase wild food across our menu, whether serving seasonal game meat or creating dishes with foraged herbs and vegetables. Our fish is line-caught on British day-boats, operating within a strict quota, around Brighton to Cornwall. We use the MSC chart as a guide to ensure the sustainability of the fish on our menus. The farm-to-fork approach is central to our sourcing system, but in the kitchen, it is a zero-waste, and nose-to-tail approach that keeps our dishes sustainable – our guests can enjoy a single ingredient used in several innovative and delicious ways across the menu to reduce food waste.
